Getting there & the venue
The Bandshell is an open-air venue under a canopy, so dress for the evening rather than for an air-conditioned theater. Its municipal lot is across Collins Avenue at 73rd Street and costs $2 an hour. Outside food and drinks are not allowed; there is a water refill station inside. Allow extra time for parking and ticket scanning, especially if you want to be settled before the opening performance.

Choose shoes you are comfortable moving in and leave space for other dancers rather than treating the floor as a viewing area.
