A weather-proof science day with several experiences in one ticket and a convenient downtown location.
The plan
The Explorer ticket combines museum exhibitions, the aquarium and one planetarium show, subject to availability. This makes Frost a substantial family visit rather than a quick aquarium stop. Planetarium selections are booked onsite, so organize that part of your day after arrival. Prices and closing times vary by date; the calendar showed a particularly early 3pm closing on November 5 when reviewed.
What the Explorer ticket covers
The all-in-one Explorer ticket includes the exhibitions, aquarium and one planetarium show, subject to availability. Planetarium bookings are made onsite. Adults start at $29.95 and children aged 4–11 at $24.95; the selected date determines the actual price, while children three and younger are free.
Arrival and unusual hours
The free Metromover’s Museum Park station is adjacent to the museum on its Omni Loop. Opening hours are date specific: the reviewed week included a 3pm close on November 5 and 6pm closes November 6–8. Check the calendar instead of assuming the same hours every day.
Before you go
The free Metromover’s Museum Park station serves the area. Check the exact date before assuming a standard full-day opening.
