Make a Sunday stroll out of produce, flowers and the pedestrian heart of South Beach.
The plan
Lincoln Road’s farmers market is an easy plan because the browsing itself costs nothing. Walk the pedestrian street, compare the produce and flowers, and let whatever catches your eye determine whether this becomes a snack stop or a shopping trip. The market sits among the regular shops and restaurants, so you can keep it as short as a morning loop or make it the start of a longer South Beach outing. Purchases are optional and individually priced.
When and where
The Lincoln Road district lists the market every Sunday, year-round, rain or shine, from 9am–6pm. Look along Lincoln Road between Meridian and Washington Avenues. Vendors and exact products can vary, so treat photographs as examples rather than a guaranteed stall list.
Keeping it affordable
Bring a reusable bag if shopping and compare prices before committing to a basket of extras. The pedestrian setting is good for browsing, but nearby restaurant service and car parking are separate expenses. Severe weather can still affect outdoor plans.
Before you go
Go with one small food budget and leave time for a second pass; the best part can be discovering something you did not set out to buy.
