A major downtown cultural week with options for readers, families and people who simply enjoy finding something unexpected.
The plan
The Book Fair turns downtown into a place for author conversations, discovery and books across English, Spanish and Haitian Creole programming. The full week and the three-day Street Fair are different parts of the experience. Children’s Alley adds family programming, while individual talks can have their own admission or reservation rules. Use the schedule to choose a few meaningful sessions rather than trying to attend everything.
Choose your kind of fair day
November 15–22 is the full festival week; November 20–22 is the outdoor Street Fair. Those are different schedules. Look for author conversations if a particular writer is your priority, or use the Street Fair for browsing and discoveries. Children’s Alley is the family-programming area.
Language, tickets and location
Programming includes English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. Check the language and room for each session and whether it needs a ticket or reservation. The downtown base is Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus at 300 NE 2nd Avenue; do not assume one booking covers every talk.
Before you go
Confirm each program’s language, venue and admission conditions. Street Fair dates are November 20–22, not every day of the week.
