Books, exhibitions and room to slow down near Collins Park.
The plan
The Miami Beach Regional Library is a useful indoor pause when a beach day needs a different pace. Browse the shelves, look at the current display or check the branch calendar for a program that genuinely fits your interests. The branch is beside the Collins Park cultural area, so it can be paired with The Bass or a short outdoor walk. It is a public working library, which makes a quiet, considerate visit part of the experience.
Hours and access
The branch’s current schedule is Monday–Thursday 9:30am–8pm and Friday–Saturday 9:30am–6pm, closed Sunday. Holiday hours may differ. Browsing does not require purchasing a museum ticket; borrowing materials and some services have library-card eligibility requirements.
Programs are specific
The branch lists exhibitions, children’s activities and a YOUmake creative space, but workshops can require registration and may have age limits. Printing and other services can carry fees. Check the exact program listing before promising a drop-in activity to children.
Before you go
Use the branch calendar to choose an actual workshop; the presence of a makerspace does not mean equipment is always available without booking.
