The plan
Roller Disco is a playful post-Thanksgiving outing with music from Lotusoph and Angie Antonela and skate hosts All Skates Go To Heaven. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and non-skaters can enjoy the scene from the deck. The important budget distinction is between entry and equipment: admission is free, while the cost of borrowing skates depends on whether you are a Miami Beach resident.
Before you go
The event runs 5–9pm. Bring your own skates or rent onsite: rentals are $10 for non-residents and free for Miami Beach residents. Use the official free RSVP, and carry residency proof if requesting the local rental offer.
Getting there & the venue
The Bandshell is an open-air venue under a canopy, so dress for the evening rather than for an air-conditioned theater. Its municipal lot is across Collins Avenue at 73rd Street and costs $2 an hour. Outside food and drinks are not allowed; there is a water refill station inside. Allow extra time for parking and ticket scanning, especially if you want to be settled before the opening performance.
Before you go
A non-skating companion can still come along; there is no need to rent equipment just to enjoy the music.
